Sucker for a Sale

So. Blogging World. I have done something I never thought I would do.
I have this friend. Let's call her...Rachael... She started this trend ages ago.
If there was something on sale that she would need in the future, but didn't necessarily need it right away, she would often buy it. This holds true for baby items especially. She does not have a baby, but she has nearly everything one might need for a baby. Which is smart really. Then it's not a huge expense when the time actually comes.
So.
When Facebook had a "promo code" that I could redeem for a FREE baby sling, I couldn't help but investigate. For the record: I Google'd the company first to make sure it was legit and entered the promo code to make sure it wasn't outrageous. But it was TRUE! All I needed to pay was shipping & handling, which was about $12. So I asked The Husband for permission, permission granted. Items purchased.
THEN when they gave me my order number, they provided TWO MORE promo codes...
So.
Yes. I did it. I BOUGHT THOSE THINGS TOO! But really, I saved a bazillion dollars.OK. Not a bazillion, I could probably make the things I wanted, but buying them was so much easier! haha.

The Best Part --> I bought Baby Things. A baby sling, a carseat cover, and an udder cover (cover for breastfeeding).
And No. We aren't expecting. Or even expecting to expect.
(I just can't fight a sale!)

Interested?

  1. Ha, ha! You're smart to get your stuff early. I wish I had thought to do the same! It hits hard when you have to get it all at once. Luckily I have had a steady stream of hand-me-downs! I have one of those slings, too, and I like it pretty well, though after I got it I started wondering if it really cost $12 to ship something so light... Oh, well!

  2. haha so I definitely did go to all those sites. Such a good idea. You can use the same codes again if you wanted to buy a 2nd one in a different purchase too as a gift or if you just wanted a different color. :)
